The movie is loosely based on one of the short stories by the Science Fiction Mastermind and a literary classic Philip Dick.

The story, called « The Adjustment Team » followed a series of mishaps in one man’s life, that ultimately revealed him to a squad of people, responsible for keeping people’s live on a track of the « High Plan ».

This movie, starring young and famous Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt as leading characters David and Elise, follows the same storyline.

Only this time, the whole plot of the movie revolves around the fact that Damon’s character David Norris is a politician, running for the US Senate.

The mysterious Adjustment Team both tries to somewhy advance his political career and at the same time never let him have a relationship with the girl he’ve fallen in love with.

This all continues until one day David deviates from the « Plan » of his routine schedule and witnesses the team of mysterious Adjusters change the course of the reality in his friend’s office.

Since that moment, a struggle of the free will of a person against a cold-calculated plan commences…
